What is a test image download?

A test image download delivers images with defined dimensions – placeholders without real photo content. Developers and QA use them to test image uploads, fill layouts, or verify responsive behaviour with fixed pixel sizes.

dummyfiles.dev generates these images on demand: set width and height, choose format, start download. Optionally with background colour or overlay text (e.g. “800×600”).
