What is a test file download?

A test file download delivers files with a defined size and format but no real content. Developers and QA use such dummy files to verify upload limits, test APIs, or validate import logic – without real user data.

dummyfiles.dev generates these files on demand: you choose size (1 KB to 5 GB), type (ZIP, BIN, JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF), and fill mode (random or zero). The download starts directly in the browser or via API.
